Our son suffers from severe muscular dystrophy, is confined to an electric whhelchair, and uses a hoist to get in and out of his motorised bed, where he also uses a ventitilator. He met and recently married a lovely girl. Now admittedly he is only 47, but these things can and do happen.

I recall a story about a lady that got married to a 700lb man. It made the wedding because he died shortly after the wedding.
