	The ski races have started. Ted Ligety, USA, is dominating the giant slaloms with the new skis which have to be at lest 2 meters long. Lindsey Vonn, USA, seems in bad shape, and Maria Riesch, Germany, is being overtaken by Tina Maze, Slovenia, a pretty girl. Once when the Ski World Federation wanted even to regulate the womens' underwear besides the length of their skis, she opened her skiing attire on hear breast and the bra wore a sign on it "none of your business". 	Chicago 9 days ago (or is it 16?) tied its record for most consecutive days without measurable snow and continues to extend the record with each passing day. Looks like it will finally be set this week. Possibly today, more likely Thursday. (Measurable means more than a trace, at least 1/10".) 	Where I am we've only had just one sprinkling of snow so far, and even that didn't stick. I would like it very much if it snowed on Christmas day though. ____________ In an alternate universe, it was a ZX81 that asked for clothes, boots and motorcycle. Beer/wine o'clock, the best of the o'clocks. Humpty dumpty sat on a wall, along came a giant, and cooked him for breakfast.

	Here in Wisconsin, we are forecast to have our first major winter snow event. 6-14" between midnight tonight and midnight Thursday night. Blowing and drifting with whiteout conditions possible. 	Currently +4C (about 40F) here in the sub-Artic, but that Wisconsion storm is due here about Friday or Saturday. Put the reflectors out today, since I don't mind shovelling snow out of the driveway, but I object to shovelling my front lawn out of the driveway after the city snow plows go by. ____________

	The storm that dumped on Mark in Wisconsin did even less than predicted in Chicago. Tom Skilling's early prediction was for a half inch in the city, while others were saying several inches. He revised it upward to 2-4 and even 3-6. I really had a laugh when I went to work yesterday and they had shut down the plant. Like...this is Wisconsin, dudes. WTF???? 6 inches of snow don't stop US. I did my driveway and went to work.
