Message 1319554 - Posted: 24 Dec 2012, 7:14:36 UTC - in response to Message 1318788.

I was so touched by Lisa. She took Oonah on her lap in the car and was singing to her and telling her she missed her so much and how she wished Oonah was still here. It was a very emotional moment.

This is a difficult thing for another mother to read.

The things we have to bear that shouldn't be borne. :( Your little daughter is very wise.

Thank you Mike.

Our Christmas day has gone well, and we are heading for lunch - a sweet and sour chicken dish on a bed of egg fried rice. We are also looking forwards to korma (mild) curried chicken and egg fried rice for lunch.

I bought a heart shaped stone yesterday with an angel on it and the text"Always in our thoughts, forever in our hearts", to put on the grave of Seppe and Oonah.

The sort of thought only a good mother would think about, but that us "hard faced" blokes appreciate.

I thought I'd let you guys know that via a kind invitation, I traveled up yesterday to visit our moderator Rob Smith. He was kind enough to pick me up from the station, and put me up overnight, before dropping me back at the station this morning. Unfortunately the train from London was 30 minutes late and I missed my connection which was Gr8 not.

However, we had fish 'n chips out of the paper for supper, the only way to eat 'em, washed down with a bottle of London Pride. Rob is engaging and intelligent company, and we nattered almost until midnight, and again this morning, about all subjects under the sun!

Thank you for hosting me Rob, and I look forward to a visit from you to London when I will be delighted to buy you lunch in return, and quite likely in the company of another Setizen. Uli, I'm catching up on your Setizen meets total :-))

Yes we did Julie, and looking out of the train window on the way back via Coventry and Rugby, you could see the amount of rain that had fallen on the Midlands. Soggy is an understatement :-) Yep, a good meet.

Same here, it has been raining for 7 days non-stop and everything's flooded.
Luckily it stopped raining now...
