You got lucky there, Monday. Could've turned out much worse. you could've been burned or so...

It did give me a fright.

In similar vein....

Many years ago, at a Cub Scout camp out, a junior leader (not me) decided to add a little gasoline to a camp fire late one night. The flames spread up the stream, and the leader was left holding a plastic jug of gas with flames coming out the top. He paused for only a second (it seemed like hours) then turned and drop kicked the jug into the nearby lake. It left a long arc of flame through the night sky, and then burst into a small fire ball on the lake surface. The Cubs rose as one, and gave the leader a standing ovation.

We spent the rest of the weekend doing all the carefully planned activities from the handbook, but for years all any Cub would talk about for that camp out was the night the leader drop kicked the gas bomb into the lake.

I know someone who got burned in his face and arms after spraying lampoil in a barbecue. He got third degree burn wounds and he never looked the same anymore.
Fire can be so dangerous...

Using gasoline or any other accelerant is strictly against BSA policy for pretty much this reason.

You are so sweet Angela. The good news is that all body parts are intact and I wasn't burnt. :)

Yep, it's not done for good reason and I don't see that changing...

Yep, almost Halloween... The kids are busy making Halloween decorations at home. A pity for them we don't do trick or treat over here...

Probably not that bad - I've got the super-soakers loaded, sitting by the front door ready for them....

Yeah, the youngsters aren't what they used to be and they're getting younger and younger, behaving that way. A few months ago, a group of 12 year olds attacked a busdriver over here, putting him in hospital for 4 days!

No treaters out here, it gets dark and cold. Me I'm having DSL trouble, actually anyone with DSL out here is having problems syncing, a DSLAM issue, posting is hit and mostly miss... My ISP DSL Extreme has given Verizon a Trouble Ticket, still unresolved and being Friday, no idea on when this will be fixed...

OMG, I may have to turn on the gas heater... EEK!

Hey I think My DSL is fixed and it's not been 24 hours yet... DSL extreme said it was a DSLAM causing an area wide problem...

I use a stick for my internet. Haven't experienced any trouble with it (yet).
Quite expensive though. I pay 52 euros a month for 5Gb. A pity it isn't possible to install WIFI here.

In late Jan I plan on switching internet providers, I'm going from DSL to TWC cable, why? To save about $9 a month, I currently pay $32.83 for 3M/768K, cable is 3M/1M for $23.90 or $19.95 w/o renting a modem, of course it means I have to make sure I have an extra $50 on hand for a deposit... Of course I'll have to rent a modem for a bit until I can buy My own so that I can save about another $4 a month...
