I am curious why my laptop which is running Windows 7 x64 reports itself to SETI@home as being a Windows XP machine. |

Did you by chance install BOINC in Windows XP 64bit compatibility mode? As then it'll show that as the OS. |

Hello User! I hope I'm right here. Unfortunately, I can hardly speak English and try talking to a translator to describe my problem. Me an evil error has happened! I wanted to optimize my laptop and have all existing 16 Tasks, Seti and Astropulse 6.0, set to pause / stop, and stopped BOINC. When I made the optimization, all tasks had disappeared from the project list. When my results now all 16 tasks are as errors. "Timeout / no response", though, all 16, were still far ahead of the Death Line. Are these 16 tasks now lost, or can they be sent to me again? Thanks in advance for the help. With kind regards Schrotty alias Rex Udo |

Hello User! They are not lost, but you don't get them back. They will be sent to someone else, and you will get others. BOINC WIKI |
