...but the fruit of the poor lemon is impossible to eat I planted the tree the year we moved in. The tag said "Modified Meyer". I didn't know what that meant, but I bought it anyway and stuck it in the ground. It has been a most generous tree. The fruit is sweet, but not so cloyingly sweet that I can't use the fruit for other applications such as fish or chard. |

...but the fruit of the poor lemon is impossible to eat My guess the modified Meyer is a genetically modified lemon. Someone once again got to play with DNA back at a lab. Janice |

I did some web surfing on Meyer Lemons Ang.. and what I come up with is a hybrid of lemons and some other citrus fruit, possibly Mandarins(aka Mandarin Orange) Janice |

I grew up with a lemon orchard for a back yard. I had a big back yard. I loved eating the Eureka's right off the tree. Best salad dressing in the world Meyer lemon juice and a little salt. |

That is rather iffy Bernie, to say the least. If we are going to be that obfuscating none of us have any real chance. Indeed I would have used "Whale", still put Shrimp and Amongst into google and it is the first item returned. I always believed the game was about "word association" ie, the first thing that comes to mind on seeing (or hearing) the word in question. So whilst tenuous a case could be made! |

Sometimes the first word that comes to mind has only a very, very, very tenuous link, and that link may only exist within the brain for a fleeting moment, or be the result of a transient chemical imbalance, like too much blood in the caffeine stream due to having missed one's early morning mug of espresso.... http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=69855 I know that this is not a picture, just a comment, but the link is to the thread where the question of whether to allow comments in this thread is being discussed. As such, removal of any post because of comments is up in the air, and this comment should be allowed in any case just to be sure that everyone reading this thread has been informed about that thread. |

Mystery Photo Game 34 I can't think of any more hints! Should I call it? It is one of the best fishing spots in Quebec. |

I thought I knew my way around a kitchen, but you guys are really, really good! bread re-slicer? I would have never gotten that one. Current one has me stumped too. Wonder if I could try one for auto parts? More a guy thing. Still I wonder who would be better at it. |
