Johnney,

How does this story/idea fit in with your theories and the Elohim?...

Prometheus (film)

Looks like it is based right off your script!

Martin,
Its funny, but my brother emailed me last week and said exactly the same thing. He told me about that film so i had to watch the film.

I found the film pretty boring, i only watched about an hour of it. But Martin your right, the story line in the film is similar to many of the things i have suggested here in the last year.

Martin this is NOT new. Ancient alien theory is NOT new. All the science fiction writers for the last 150 years have had many variations of similar stories. Many of these stories written by these science fiction writers are based on stories in the bible. The bible is the source material for many books and films. So the Prometheus movie is just another one that elaborates on biblical themes.

... I found the film pretty boring,

I found the film content to be very good but the execution was far far too rushed. Rather than having the dark lingering suspense of the first Alien film, it was more of an "action - adventure" with a little watered down kiddie-friendly rushed suspense. For the ideas and the level of detail included, there was more than enough to make two good and suspenseful films.

The rushed timeframe also made the growing rates fancifully unrealistic for the various creatures. :-(

...And that Bible is itself an evolutionary selection of the most popular or successful memes of the day...

I was going to make a statement that Biblical undertones make up part of the stories of, gosh, every other movie made.

;-)

I'm also aware of a few that have very well-hidden anti-biblical undertones.

Martin,
I beg to differ! The bible does not evolve in any way shape or form. The stories in the bible were cut down to a selected "group" of books that were deemed appropriate back in the 3rd century. But the book does not evolve. The stories do not change. In fact as time has gone one, scholars have found more copies in different languages and always try to seek the oldest ones that are closest to the original. This is difficult after 2,000 years and the books having been translated back and forth between different languages. The book we have today has indeed lost some of its original meaning. But the guts of the stories are still there.

Just figured it out ...
December 21, 2012 is the date the LHC will get a 5 sigma signal on the Higgs Boson. Madness will ensue and the world will be consumed.

If you are just juggling the numbers for the date, you might be many days off depending on whether you speak American or UK English... There's quite a few days difference between 21/12/2012 vs 12/21/2012, depending on how you count your months! ;-)

You can still be a good few days off depending on which calendar reformation you may or may not follow.

And added to that, we still can't be sure if the "zero" year was a few days off due to various religious and astronomical argument...

And what's it all to do with whatever arbitrary human contrived calendar anyway?!!!

Is it all in just a name? The Higg's postulated particle is just a bunch of energy after all don't ya know? Just another parametrised ball of fuzz!...

Yep, i think Gary Charpentier hit the nail on the head there. December 21 will be the day they find the "God particle". Or we could say it a bit differently. We could say that December 21 will be the day we find God.

Exciting times !

Well this theory just got blown out of the water, unless it's a delayed reaction.

Your right Bob,
Today was the "Big" announcement by CERN. That was the big one, that was the Higgs Boson they were looking for. That was the God particle as the media like to call it. And nothing happened.

They announced they found a boson. They don't know what it is yet.

I don't believe the world will end in 2012. I do believe the conciousness of mankind will change though. We will become more aware and spiritual. (according to Rudolf Steiner)

Ahhhhhhh.......you guys just don't get it? Do ye?

If you want to know what's going to happen, go directly to the source of the story!

There are 2 possible sources;

1. Maya calendar
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maya_calendar

2. The Bible; Book of Revelation
http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Revelation+1&version=NIV

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Book_of_Revelation

There is little or nothing you can tell from the Maya calendar other than it "tick's over" on Dec 21.

But the other source is full of good stuff! The Biblical Book of Revelation is just full of goodies for anyone who is up for a challenge. The whole Book of Revelation from the Bible is coded and nobody has ever decoded it. Lots of people "Think" they know what it means, but they don't! Instead priests and scholars try to give the Book of Revelation abstract meaning. But the truth is, they really don't know what any of the stuff means!

There are loads of good "characters" in the Book of Revelation. Like "The Beast" who is associated with the number "666". And there is "The Dragon". There is more than one Dragon mentioned in Book of Revelation. Then there is "The Lamb", which all priests assume represents Jesus, the Lamb of God. But the Lamb in the Book of Revelation is not Jesus!

And there are the "24 Elders" and a variety of other characters.

Does anyone here want to have a go at decoding Book of Revelation? Why not have a go at decoding it! But only read it directly from a Bible like this on-line one.
