I've just started with SETI@Home and wonder if there is an option or configuration setting that would allow me to select the hard drive to use for storage. I'd like to employ an external drive that has a lot more free space than the PC's internal drive. |

It's available in the installer. So you will have to uninstall BOINC, move the data directory from where it is now to where you want it to be, then reinstall BOINC and in the installer, in the third screen: Click the Advanced button. Next click the Change.. button on the Data directory: And point it to wherever you move the data directory to. Then continue the installation. Default places for the Data directory can be found in this FAQ. |

It's available in the installer. So you will have to uninstall BOINC, move the data directory from where it is now to where you want it to be, then reinstall BOINC and in the installer, in the third screen: NOTE: Do NOT point the data directory at your program files directory (Typically c:\program files\...) as BOINC will not be able to write there.
