me too i left and comeback.

i wish so much to get news on that project. (SETI versus Kepler exoplanets)

this is a copy of the email i ve got in Decembre 2011 (i thought it was in September but it s effectivly in 12/2011)



i made a red line beneath what made me comeback here.
but my english isnt that great .....

This work is a ways off in the future. It has not even shown up on SETI Beta yet. I would look for no earlier than this fall personally. Last I heard was they are looking into if they need to write a whole new science app to do the analysis or if the can shoe horn it into the existing MB science application. The last mutter I heard on this topic said it looked like a new science app but I have not heard the "final" or anything close to an official post on this.

and was long time ago. i tried to get some anwsers very often, here on forum and some PMs too ... never got a word.

i guess the tapes are gone in a closet in the 2nd basement of the university ^^

Matt posted in the tech news forum that he has started more work on software for the Green Bank Telescope data. http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=67536#1213706
Shows they are doing stuff for the Kepler run.
Edit it was Matt not Jeff posting my mistake.

I just have to say even though I've only been a member for about two years and I know the project has been going on for about 12 now. What I'm gettting at is this seems like a very exiting time for Seti as we are starting to listen in the area of planets we've found. Very nice tread I've enjoyed the read allthough my understanding of most of it was limmited:)

Edit: So the reason I run SETI, is to be able to know exactly when ET is found. That will be the moment SETI@home goes offline for good.
