I was recently invited to join a team but I'm not clear on what the purpose of teams are in this activity. Is it just for fun ? Actually yes. It can be good to be a member of a team, based on any number of common/shared situations. http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/top_teams.php Steve ____________ Warning, addicted to SETI crunching! Choose a team because you are actually interested in what they are doing, not just because you got an invite.

Choose a team because you are actually interested in what they are doing, not just because you got an invite. You mean the team "We are the Borg. Your credits will be assimilated" doesn't respect me for my mind after all? Teams are just for fun, but if you are in a group you can band together to have imaginary contests against others. Also some of the groups sponsor fundraisers and other sorts of things. So there is that aspect as well. ____________ SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the BP6/VP6 User Group today!
