Im in search of a new team , it doesnt have to be a top team but as to have a IRC chat (pref on quakenet) room and have active members im quite handy on IRC so id even consider a team with no IRC chat and register the team a room.
Ive searched through teams but it would take for ever to look so im hopeing some one will post up a invite to one :) . .

Thnx in advance

Why do you think an IRC channel is a must-have?

Its not actually not that important to be honest but i do idle on IRC 24hours a day
roughly 5 days a week so it would be nice to actually have a team room to meet and chat in.

This probably should have been posted in cafe seti but since it is here, prepare for a shameless plug :)

Might want to check out The Knights Who Say Ni!

We have an IRC channel (#setiathome on EFnet) where ~40 people usualy idle and random (or focused) conversations can usually be started at any time of day. We also have a forum and a BOINC Stats site. I don't know if you are interested in doing anything besides SETI but we do have a team formed on all active BOINC projects so you can say Ni! no matter where your idle cycles are going!

Hi Kahless

Only a fellow trekkie would have chosen that nick/handle, so I can only recommend the following team

http://setiweb.ssl.berkeley.edu/team_display.php?teamid=31118

Trekkies.dk, a Danish StarTrek fanclub. No IRC channel, but a pretty good website, though in Danish, message board are avail.

Hope to see you there my Klingon friend.

Best regards / B52

Hi there,

I've just started a new team for low-powered computing - if you have old P1's P2's and P3's lying around - then get 'em crunching for seti with Team Sausageroll!

The team has a website - www.sausageroll.com - but nothing else so far. I will be setting up a asp.net forum, and you can run the IRC part if you want...

Mission: To challenge Overclockers / Corp's with old technology!!! ;o)))

Good luck in your team hunting!

Cheers, SwissNic.

Have a look at Broadbandreports.com Team Starfire. We are a top 10 team with 3000+ members, and are currently in 9th place, and climbing, in S@H II with only around 270 members having made the switch to Boinc so far. We are in 6th place in S@H Classic, and have just surpassed 11,000,000 crunched.

We have a great forum, full of helpful people that love to talk Seti as well as off topic subjects. Quite frankly, I don't think you can find a better group of people. Have a look.
http://www.broadbandreports.com/forum/seti

Broadbandreports.com, as you may or may not know, also has a forum for just about everything else you could want. Check it out.
http://wwww.broadbandreports.com/forums/all

We also have active irc chat that is always looking for more enthusiastic participants. A quick check, as I write this, shows about 20 members logged in. And finally, we have a team for any other DC project you may be interested in.

Join us.

Hey Guido!!!

Funny!!! ;o))))

Well - it's only a 242... its a bit old!!! ;o)))

Actually - this is my main server, and as no-one really visits my websites, I might as well throw it into the crunch!

I don't mind a few more modern machines too, but I want to see people using there old machines for a good purpose, and not leave them unpluged in a cupboard somewhere (as I used to do...)

Every FLOP counts I hope!!!

Cheers, SwissNic
