I agree that things are getting out of control and something should be done about it. However, I think that turning off the scheduler is a bit drastic. Turning off the splitters seems more appropriate. This way people will still be able to report completed tasks (before the deadline). The point of turning the scheduler off while clearing the purge backlog is to not continue adding to the database while trying to delete from the database. Fix the backlog and let it have all available resources to do so. I know what we really need though. Matt. He left for several months, and it all fell apart. Just saying. That server closet must be a very unhappy place just now :-( With only Jeff in for now he will be doing what he can, but that will not be as much as when the full crew are on the job, so things take longer, backlogs and shortfalls will be more common, so I'll just crunch what comes my way, and report that whenever possible. In the meantime Jeff can have a few Hero Points for keeping going. Let's hope he doesn't over do things and end up off sick. Take care Jeff, do what you can. I agree with Rob! Jeff has been doing an exemplary job! And to help keep Jeff's spirits up, I've recruited one of Dismal Seepage's most talented cheerleaders to help him keep fighting a good fight! |

I don't like these type of hickups but it is a great moment to clean out some rigs over here... It's time to collect the dust :) |

Look at the bright side - it helps the assimilators to catch up. |

I found this article about a denial of service attack directed at HE yesterday. It may be just coincidence, but I can't help wondering if it is connected to the current S@H outage. http://www.nzherald.co.nz/connect/news/article.cfm?c_id=1501833&objectid=10756610 An online assault on a California company knocked out some of Vodafone's internet services yesterday. |

All I know was at that time it worked, I had ajusted some settings and it reported, It then tried to update 5 min later and could not get through, I noticed that when it had reported it had not asked for tasks so tried NNT and reported the latest tasks. ATM nothings going through. Kevin |
