Currently, according to the Server Status Page (current time) no problems with upload server(s); Cricket Graphs say Uploads are proceeding apace.

So why do I have hundreds of WUs that cannot upload?

(And my Internet access is OK, or I wouldn't be able to post this....)

I tried that proxy trick, but nothing much happened. Instead of absolutely no transfer, each WU had about 2-3% transfer before failing.

This REALLY sucks.

I had the same problem..........then realized one of my computers was not sending through my network.......had to do some reconfiguring .......it happened twicw before I could figure it out....check your connection or network output.

Now it's the 2nd time, that my machine can't connect to the whole S@h server/services.

The first time was 09 Aug 2011, 14:46 UTC and it lasts ~ 1 1/2 days.

This time since 22 Aug 2011, ~ 21:30 UTC no contact to the server.

I tracerouted both times and always the connection was cutted in Russia (after checking the last available IP address). I guess because the IP address in the USA couldn't be found.

To now I didn't tested the proxy work around stuff..

It's because of a router.. - Technical News : Radar (Aug 09 2011)

After looking to the Cricket graph, 8 UL / 5 DL Mbits/sec, I guess 95 % of all S@h members can't connect currently.
[EDIT: Ohh.. no.. it's so low because no WUs available for DL. ;-)]

Well, I tried the Mystery Proxy again, on both my crunchers this time, and got a handful through by hitting the Retry button several times. For what it's worth, which ain't much.

Come on, SETI Crew, let's find a fix that is stable for this!

I can upload but not download any work but my cache is still full out of 610 and almost,out of 505 only 13 ap wu left and a lot of 603 and 608 wu left.

But, what will happen if the machine can't connect the next few days? The deadline of the WUs reached.. - crunched for nothing?

First deadline 30 Aug..

Ohh.. - I think I need to switch now to secondary projects..
(because S@h BETA is also not reachable)

If I read the messages of other members which are off cut since months.. - maybe the end of my participation now?

Perhaps you can try using the proxy servers like others have had some luck using. While not perfect, they are getting some work uploaded and reported.

Also, Beta is operational, although the server status page shows it being down. I just turned Beta back on, and it immediately downloaded 11 WU's.

I'm little bit sceptical because of free proxy server..
I have no, really no knowledge/experiences about proxy server..

I as a noob in this area ask me, why should someone give the own machine/server and internet connection for free to other for usage?
For to grab infos?

S@h BETA is also not reachable for my machine.
I had detached for a long time. I wanted to attach again, but it don't work:
Sending scheduler request: Project initialization.
Requesting new tasks for CPU and NVIDIA GPU
Scheduler request failed: Couldn't connect to server

I hope the S@h crew could solve the router problem within the next ~ 6 days, if not the first deadlines of the results are reached and the results were calculated for nothing.

Most people don't know that their machine is open port unless they close port with firewall or open it with firewall there are port scan tools that search the net for vunerable machines to use their machine as proxy.

People use proxy server so they think they will be anonymous for what ever reason be it legal or illegal but they really are not anonymous it just makes it harder to track much like a crook uses alias to hid his name.
