In the task manager I'm having to set the affinity after WUs complete or after machine reset.Isn't BOINC supposed to remember these settings.I'm running a P4 HT 3.0 Ghz machine. This never occured on classic CLI.Any help would be appreciated. This can be done by using the task manager and right clicking on the S@H Application. The normal setting is set at low priority in order to leave CPU power for the case other programs are running. Putting the priority to a higher level can slow down other programs. |

Yes, now I CAN see it. S@H classic didn't lag my Athlon1800 at all (at normal priority). Hmm... have checked just now... doesn't lag... yesterday it DID... or someone else, may be my AV soft. Ah... I can remember, AV scanner was scanning all of my disks 8*D Yes, S@H doesn't lag my comp at all. IIS, VS.NET just fly. I see that there is no mean other than task manager to set thread priority for S@H :.( |
