I have just upgraded several machines to the latest 32 bit version and
on nearly all, when boincmanager loads it gives an "Internal System Error" message with "boinc manager" in the title bar, si is being generated by boinc.

Unfortunately NO other info, no log entry or anything.

Clearing notification and no other issues noticeD!

Anyone any clues, or, how to trap details of the error.

System Windows 2k pro / stacks of memory/ boinc manager runs at startup but NOT boinctray. Error occurs on manager startup, not screensaver.

Annoying as it stops other programs loading until "ok" done

In the BOINC data directory you will find several files that start std std. There could be several that are steZZZerr.out. Are there any that have been updated recently?

What version of Windows? I see both XP and 7 computers on your account.

What version of BOINC?

Hi, This problem is on windows 2000 ( I have several triple boot machines but 2k is main operating system).

Mistake through on my behalf. Actual error is "BOINC Screensaver diagnostic error" not as stated! Sorry.

=====================

This is caused by this machine not being able to connect to server/internet until loaded as win2k with wifi starts up before doing network connections.

=====================

but only happens sice changing to 6.12.33 and I think it happens on xp64bit, but need to double check

I think this is a bug in BOINC, since every PC of mine that I've installed 6.12.33 on has this same issue.

Actual error is "BOINC Screensaver diagnostic error"

Which is fixed in 6.12.34, now available in Beta testing (2nd one, do not use the 6.13 versions as they are completely new and very much bug-ridden).
