I keep getting errors for computation, downloading, and now 175 overnight that simply say "error" and nothing else.
I never got errors before changing my gtx 260 to a gtx550ti fermi...what the heck is going on?
I used to do 22,000 credits a day now it`s down to15,000 and most of the errors are the fermi.....I`m not overclocked, I have all drivers upto date and running the latest boinc......so what gives? I`m getting ready to pull the plug on this......electricity is expensive enough without wasting it!!

I noticed quite a few for myself lately. Fortunately, it looks like we aren't at fault. the WU's appear to be quite noisy and end quickly due to to many spikes

I'm showing you getting an error status -186. Missing input file. Probably not on your end since you are getting some good work through.

Running stock app on your gtx560 isn't giving you high RAC, it isn't using the card optimal. If your up to it you should consider trying the Lunatics optimized app, then you can run 3 WUs at a time and get a much higher RAC.

Why so negatively MusicGod?

It looks like (after looking to your host list) that this were DL errors.
So normally nothing wrong with your machine. I guess this was as S@h had maxed out internet traffic.
You couldn't look? ;-)

Like JohnDK mentioned and I already in an other thread of you, you should test the Lunatics Installer V0.38 which will install optimized project applications on your system. Faster calculation, higher RAC. It looks like you like also high/max possible RAC. ;-)

Also you could edit the app_info.xml file then for to let run 2+ WUs/GTX550 Ti simultaneously.
I would start with 2 WUs.
Look with help of e.g. GPU-Z how high the GPU load is. If it's average ~ 95 % I guess it's enough.
If you test 3 WUs simultaneously and you have continuously 100 % it's too much.

<coproc>
<type>CUDA</type>
<count>1</count>
</coproc>

to..

<coproc>
<type>CUDA</type>
<count>0.5</count>
</coproc>
..for 2 WUs/GPU..

<coproc>
<type>CUDA</type>
<count>0.33</count>
</coproc>
..for 3 WUs/GPU.

BTW.

Additional..

If you compare your old GTX260 with your new GTX550 Ti and you let run only 1 WU on both, the RAC of the GTX260 is higher - I guess.

The GTX550 Ti is a Fermi GPU, 1 WU don't use the whole Fermi chip - with the currently available CUDA apps. You need to increase the number of WUs for better/max usage of the chip.

Shut down SETI client, shut down BOINC Manager. Run the installer, answer the few questions it asks you as to how you want to run. SSSE3, SSE4.1 whatever, AP yes or no, GPU yes or no, where you want it to install if you aren't using the regular C drive, then hit install. When it finishes restart BOINC Manager and enjoy. If you run into any problems just ask. We will be more than happy to help.

Once you get it running okay come back and we can show you how to set it up to run two or three MB CUDA work units at a time.

I have a 'quick instruction' in my profile.

If you are uncertain how to do, feel free and ask..
