From the time I started using Lunatics until now I have not had any GPU WU error out for any reason at all. Kevin ![]() ![]() ![]() |

They would have been Ghosts, the Server would have tried to resend them at least once before giving up, Claggy |

Must be some sort of hiccup - the paired task has a deadline of 16th May. Carola ------- I'm multilingual - I can misunderstand people in several languages! |

Have you looked over the message log to see if there is anything in there that might point to the cause? These are all CPU tasks, but you have had 3 GPU tasks with errors in the past month. All for different reasons -12, -6, & -5. The 6 and 5 bad wu header and can't open file. Maybe you are starting to have disk issues? SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours ![]() |

They were not ghosts, HostID = 4949554 4,748 WU 'In Progress' 4,748 WU on board ------------------------ 0 Ghost Work Units (0%) Wed 30 March 2011 Or if they were very short lived ones. GPU errors have all been when I have been using this machine and probably been doing sonething graphics or disk intensive, the cards are clocked up and I loose the occasional one like this but not enough to worry about. I have seen no other signs of disk problems. If I was to get a physical disk failure, it would be no great loss, everything important is backed up on seperate physical drives (apart from WU's) C is only used for OS and program files. Looks like a hiccup their end. Kevin ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The fix to disable resends of ghosted .vlar tasks to CUDA GPUs is why they were expired immediately. Those tasks are all .vlar and the work request at 31 Mar 2011 0:52:00 UTC had the servers checking feasibility for CUDA GPU. Joe |
