This is an exercise in logical thinking.

Carlos said: "Strawberry, Blueberry, Peach and Orange," and scored 1.

Later, I said: "One of the jams is a marmalade, but it's not orange." Out goes orange.

Still later, I said: "One fruit has "berry" in the name, but it's not been mentioned yet." Contrary to what Carlos said after that, my statement ruled out strawberry and blueberry, leaving... ???

Strong hint: when Carlos included another "berry" fruit in his second guess, he did score 1.

By now, you should be able to pinpoint three out of four.

Here's another clue: the fourth fruit is thought by some to be a vegetable.

GF, he is talking about Jams and one Marmelade. I think Chutney falls in a different category.

Then again, John is the judge.

We have a winner - and it's the boss's wife! Congratulations Angela!

I make a wicked Lemon Marmalade, a delightful Cape Gooseberry Jam, a stunning Yellow Clingstone Peach Jam, and yes, a savoury-sweet Cherry Tomato Jam (with a hint of cinnamon) - and here's the recipe!

Ok, ok, settle down people! I'm here, at last. My goodness, it hasn't even been 24 hours!!! Give a busy lady a break, will ya? I was at work until 7pm, I have a 40 minute commute home, I had to go grocery shopping this evening and then I threw together a little dinner for my poor neglected hubster. Sorry for the "delay of game."

If anyone would like to subsidize my early retirement, I will be happy to start contests much more quickly in the future.

Uli-belle, I will happily start a new thread. See you all over there with a brand spanking new contest! John, thank you for the win.
