this sounds no worse than the televangelists claiming each and every earthquake and hurricane is a judgement against a city or area.

I recall there being hundreds of earthquakes a year but the one that televangelists picked up on was the one in southern california that shut the Porn industry down for a whole 3 day. 3DAYS.

Or the idiot that claimed that Katrina was retribution for New Orleans evil ways.

It's nice to see that these idiots can claim after the fact that this is Gods will. How is it that none if them can say that something is Gods will before it happens? That would impress me and a lot of other people. Not just saying some day a hurricane will blow away New Orleans. Give me the time and date.

Waiting until after the fact is hardly a prediction or having knowledge of Gods will. Its just assigning blame. Sadly, these people are also on my list of folks that needs to be taken out back for a reeducation

I did not beleive he would get elected until he did. And I do beleive he is president, and doing a lot better than the alternatives would have. I also beleive republicans are doing everything they can to stop him and then get some witty one liners to pass around about him when they succeed.

I beleive we need more sanity and the two parties actually working together, and enough of being hijacked by the extreme right.

I keep finding out near the beginning of many semesters how little people know about how other democracies work with regards to expressing one's vote and selecting a winner.
So, give up hope of most having more than a very basic idea of what a coalition is.

What about the 1964 Good Friday Alaskan Earthquake was thats God vengeance on the unwitting fools that were Russian orthodox or heathens in Alaska. Hell the Indonesian Tsunami hit people that were believers. though not Christian.

Again the whole argument is stupid on its face. making a statement that God wrath has been meted out is about as predictive as saying the sun will appear at dawn tomorrow. How about something we can't predict as Gods wrath. Hell, how about not praying for people to die to see God's will. Or better yet how about not having to kill thousands to get a point across.

The one thing that caused me the greatest anger was the pure joy she expressed at the deaths resulting from the quake.
What has become of the christians I knew as a child. The ones with the message of peace, tolerance and hope?
Those were the christians I've tried to show respect for.
No longer will I give an inch when the subject comes up.
