Why DO cats drink out of the toilet ??? Same reason dogs do. It is fresh and available and usually cool. My previous dog would wait patiently outside a bathroom door, and then go in for a drink as you came out. Even the sound of a flushing toilet would bring him from the other side of the house (before he went deaf). We got used to it, but it used to freak out visitors. ID: 1084996 ·
