- Then only the Silverstone 1500w psu would do, But last I looked It's only certified for 3 GTX480 cards, Me I'm going to get a 1200w psu, But then I'm not interested in a GTX480... I have a GTX295 and I intend to get 2 more GTX295 v2 cards. ____________ BSG Anthem My Facebook page

- As a side note: Recommended Power Supply So here's my power supply recommendation: GeForce GTX 295 * A GeForce GTX 295 requires you to have a 700 Watt power supply unit at minimum if you use it in a high-end system. That power supply needs to have (in total accumulated) at least 50 Amps available on the 12 volts rails. GeForce GTX 295 Quad SLI * A second GeForce GTX 295 requires you to add another 300 Watts. You need a 1000 Watt power supply unit if you use it in a high-end system. That power supply needs to have (in total accumulated) at least 70 Amps available on the 12 volts rails. taken from: http://www.guru3d.com/article/geforce-gtx-295-review-bfg/5 ____________

- Ok I fixed Your link and made It active for other users and I have an Enermax 1050w psu and I've run 2 GTX295 cards off of It 24/7 with no psu problems, The GTX295 uses 288w or 24A and 3 cards should use 76A at stock speed, But then I don't overclock the video cards, Just the fans, I run them at 100%. I'm going to get the Corsair 1200AX psu, It has just over 100A on the 12v rail. ____________ BSG Anthem My Facebook page

Just the same, I had two runnin g 24/7 with an overclocked cpu @ 3.52GHz and I was crunching for S@H on the cpu and all 4 gpus. ____________ BSG Anthem My Facebook page

What to look for in motherbroads. I am going to build a pc intel i7 980 but cannot find info on good motherboards, it will have 2 ati graphics cards and main use games, cruching, and a little home work. You might want to look over some of the articles at toms hardware. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/Components,1/Motherboards,2 They have done comparisons between things like the 900 series & 800 series i7 boards with multi video cards. To find out at what point the 900 series' increased bandwidth actually start to matter. I am not in AMD systems myself, but they have topics about them as well. Based of their, and several other peoples, test results between the two i7 series I went with the i7-860 for my newest system back in Jan. As I wasn't going to be building a 3 or 4 GPU uber gaming system the 900 series was just extra money in my situation. ____________ SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the BP6/VP6 User Group today!
