Just hope that you guys would take a week off (since it is abutting the Labor Day weekend, anyway), so we all could maybe catch up a bit on our pendings? You could have some fun, and we poor crunchers could maybe get some real crunching in... Thanks for considering this request! |

I don't have a problem with the length of the outages at the minute myself, but in view of the above & the Bank Holiday what about shutting down on Wed, rather than Tue, for a 2-day outage? |

As your wingmen return their wu's after an outrage your old pendings should become 'unpending' - but only if the wingman was going to return those wu's during the outrage. I don't think not having the outrage will speed this process up. Well maybe by a couple of days maximum - but all would be caught up by the Friday in any case. |

Yeah, I'm mad about it, too...just that my Pendings have been going up since the 3-day outages were instituted...was just hoping that all could be straightened out by skipping one outage. |

Outrage is just some users little joke, As It's still an outage and all will or should at least catchup on Friday local time. It's just a matter of getting stuff to flow. :D The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Personally I think giving the MB splitters some time off is in order. Now before you lynch me.. This would let the re-issues and time outs to get sent out as the only work for a day or so, therefore getting done first. The bad side.. Big crunchers would start running dry for a bit. The good side.. our pendings should drop. If this was a known ahead of time thing, like once a month for say 24-48 hours after the outtage(maybe a once a month shortened outageto lessen the pain) I think it would clean out a bunch of pendings, drop the waiting to validate count down significantly, and keep the file storage from getting beat to death.
