What does "In progress" (Database status) mean?

On the SETI@home status page, under Database status, one of the stats is "In progess". That number jumps all over the place - huge swings up and down in short periods of time. What does it mean? Is it the number of WU's created (in existence) but not yet validated? If so, why does it change so much in such short periods of time? I would think that the steady-state through-put conditions would show much less fluctuation. Thanks. --Bill |

No, as far as I know, it's the amount of units being sent to people added up with the amount being done that are sent back to the server. |
