I don't know if my problem is the same as sam's but I get an error message that says that I have no work to process, tried looking at the task list in advanced view and it shows nothing and in my account page it just said that its been temporarily disabled any idea what's happening?

The project has no work available at the moment. See please the main/start page and the Number Crunching board for more information.
Basically, the project is changing/improving the servers with new hardware.
Here is a "copy and paste" from the project´s main page....--->

The project is down while we remodel our database servers.
The machine that was running the main BOINC database has become too unreliable to use. The backup server does not have the capacity to run the project on its own.

The very good news is that we just ordered two new servers! One will be the new BOINC database server and the other will be the new back end science database server. Our capacity to both distribute and analyze our data will increase significantly with these new machines.

While we prepare for these new servers and get them going once they arrive, the project will be down. Although no new work will be distributed, all outstanding work will be uploaded and credited. This web site and the forums will remain up for most of the remodeling period.

Funding for the new servers has come entirely from very generous donations from the SETI@Home community. 28 Oct 2010 22:26:47 UTC

There is a new notice on the front page that seems to indicated that things are up and running, except for some regular weekly dwntime:

Weekly Outage and Initial Catch Up
Every Tuesday morning (Pacific time) we begin a 3 day data distribution outage to focus on science processing and development plus any needed systems maintenance. The upload/download servers will be offline during this time. The web site (including the forums) will only be offline during the database maintenance and backup portion of the outage. On Friday, you may experience connectivity issues as the servers catch up with demand. 16 Nov 2010 17:22:40 UTC

But I am still getting the "No work available to process" message.
So, is the site (i.e. work unit upload) still down while the hardware is being prepared/installed, or am I up against some other error?

Not only does Seti still have the 3 day data outage slash maintenance outage from Tuesday to Friday, it also is in the process of replacing two of its servers. So there is no work at this time. Please come back at the end of this month (end of November). By that time the project hopes that the new servers are installed, burnt in and ready for the masses, us. :-)
