I am getting the same crap from Berkeley - it's about time they fixed it. If they can't fix the current server code pronto, maybe they should consider rolling it back to when it was working. Like several days ago.

I couldn't get any new work for my main cruncher Rig on a Bench.
It had about500 VLAR's that it was working through on the CPU,nothing doing on the GPU's.
I have just done a detach and reatach and it is now d/loading new tasks for both CPU and GPU's.
Might be worth a try.

Would those be the 300 - 400 tasks scheduled for re-download at 17 Jun 2010 20:37:07 UTC by Error tasks for computer 5279118 (offset = 440 in that link).

I'm glad your green star goes some way towards paying the extra bandwidth charges on those WUs - no, the SETI internet connection is not free.

Actually, what they're paying Hurricane Electric for is 1 GBit/second, so in a sense the more we can use the cheaper it is per bit. The impact is more to the BOINC database from another replication of each task being generated and sent, plus additional load on various server processes. Detach and reattach would cause problems if many users did it, though it would give the splitters a rest. Luckily so few participants visit the forums that even bad advice will probably not harm the project measurably.

I have the same problem here with the GPU getting no work, but I figured I'll just muddle through without the gpu heating up my room, and save some money on AC instead :) it'll all get back to normal eventually.

I'm getting very few if any and yet My Quota is nearing 230 and yet I don't have more than 35WU's on My PC or 188 possible Ghost WU's have not been received by My PC out of a possible 223 Quota.

Can anybody suggest something, Other than detaching or switching to the stock 32bit(:p Seti app??

Reset or detach doesn't matter.
I think that SETI is waiting for that gost WU's
I have the same problem.
Maybe in the new metod of assigning WU, we shall be penalized for not returning them ;-)

This project has never used the project configuration setting which limits the total "in progress" tasks a host is allowed, I very much doubt they've changed. If it were implemented, a large cache on any of the fastest hosts would be impossible, but moderately slower hosts could theoretically get a 10 day cache. that would be obviously unfair.

There are certainly batches of ghosts on many hosts' "in progress" lists, as is usual after periods of server troubles. I do not believe that bears any relation to which hosts are being denied work.
