I don't see the point in having a pity party, but I too have suffered an illness this year, whereby I lost 50% of my hearing and it's never likely to recover and have medication so that I can keep my balance.

These things happen, just have to deal with them the best we can and remember, no matter how bad you think it is, there is always someone worse off.
