No, Mr. Freeze, it is not 3 times more impressive than I thought.

It does do what I bought it for. As a handy Almanac/Encyclopedia/Dictionary I can use while I watch a DVD movie, TV(during commercials), read, or during a conversation in need of substantiation.

The iStack 'em Library of Info is old and decrept beyond its former usefulness and an electronic reference is de riguer or something Frenchy like that.

The one question I really wanted to ask. Do you hold it up on your shoulder to make a mobile call, and does it look like you're carrying a cool hifi CD palyer when you're doing this? Sorry, that's two questions I really wanted to ask.

Dear Mr. Freeze:

I know someone of your ICY Genius knows the Ipad has not released the 3G version, and therefore, it goes without saying(except to geniuses)-will not make a call. Although, maybe, there is an iAPP for that. I have not researched since I am not interested.

Question 2: I am cool(not as cool as ICE) looking not matter what I hold, to shoulder or any body part chosen.

First Apple for me. Owned their stock at $9 a share back during the dark days when Jobs walked out of a CNBC interview.

Have to agree with Apple haters in this respect: Their ordering web pages are atrocious; along with web pages for checking/changing orders.

Frakking sad for a Co. with $40 Billion cash and a $200+ stock price.

Clicking around the Apple site in general also is horrible.

And nope, I ain't going to buy any Apple Store crappola.

Got the iPad because it is super light and I want to surf the web while watching TV and reading. Quick and easy info machine. That's all.

Tired of waiting for the other Big Boys to come out with something. Although like I mentioned before, I will get a WIN7 slate from another vendor later in year when they come out.

Basically the iPad doesn't have the power and functionality of the competitors.

I recently acquired an iMac (21.5") from a friend; so far, I like it. My first Apple product as well. Still learning how to use it as I've never used a Mac previously. What I do like is the "Genie effect" of the windows when minimized/restored. Also has a Bluetooth k/b & mouse (the "Magic Mouse"); I like the "swipe" feature on the mouse for going forward/back with pages or docs.

It's also almost twice as fast (3.06 GHz Core Duo 2) as my older laptop (1.86 GHz single core); both Intel. Laptop is Vista Home Basic, iMac is OS X "Snow Leopard".

To me, the format looks no better than a netbook... Unless that is the touchscreen gestures approach the fluidity of GUI as shown for Avatar...

So far, for me, it looks like the WeTab is the front runnner for a competitive slate device.

HP has dropped WIN7 and going for a Palm OS, and a much later introduction.

Seems others are waiting till late 2010 to sometime in 2011.

The JooJoo ain't bad either.

My iPad still juiced on original charge.
