On another note, It looks like I may put off the GTX295 cards for a year, Why?

Simple I found out about a down payment assistance program from a city I used to live in and a house is for sale next to a house where I once lived and so I need to save up $865($700 1% down payment[minimum] from Me and $165 for the Utilities to start up), The down payment assistance goes up to 45% for very low income people according to the pdf file I read, the price of the house? $70,000.00 Oh and the assistance also covers any rehab and closing costs(Not that the neighborhood there has many vacancies). I've got to call the city on Monday. And I'll have a good slog until November(As car repairs/work are in My way still), If I'm lucky the mobile home(It's on Its own land, so no rent) will still be there.

Tsunami warning for LA, which is south of me, closer to the quake, is for 2.5 foot wave. I don't think I have much to worry about. Time to put the surf board away.

I've been reading some more in that Down Payment Assistance pdf file from the City I'd like to move back to, It seems the City has a problem or maybe I do as It seems they don't want any single people unless they buy a studio(condo), Problem is there are no Studios or even 1 bedroom homes or houses in that city at all, Monday I'm going to call the lady mentioned in the pdf and point that error out to Her and see if the City with It's housing glut could modify their policy, plus their limit of 45%(down payment assistance) for very low income people may not work for Me(Income qualifications below), As I may need about 70% due to My income being so small. For Low income the max assistance is 40% and for Moderate It's 35% and If closing costs are to be paid for with any DAP funds that means the amount of assistance decreases.

Error or deliberate? Maybe they are actively trying to discourage single person households?

Massive Earthquake In Chile Poses Tsunami Threat to California
by: Robert Cruickshank

A major earthquake struck Chile this morning with a magnitude of 8.8. It's not quite as large as the enormous 1960 Chile earthquake, the largest ever recorded with a magnitude of 9.5, but it was enough to do catastrophic damage in central Chile, likely including parts of the capital, Santiago.

What does this mean for California? It means a "minor tsunami" is likely to hit the California coast during the middle of the day today. By "minor" that apparently means waves of between 1 and 2 feet, not enough to do major damage but enough to warn people to not go near the water.

Specific arrival times and amplitude projections can be found here - the tsunami will hit La Jolla around noon and over the next 2 hours work its way up the coast - Santa Barbara around 12:30pm, Monterey around 12:45, SF around 1:30, Crescent City (which was devastated by a 1964 tsunami) around 1:45.

I'll be watching, but from a safe distance. Hopefully it won't be much more than a high tide around here. Unfortunately for Hawaii, they are expecting a major tsunami threat.

I have no idea Andy, I'm looking at a 2 bedroom/ 2 bath Mobile Home(currently @ $67,000.00, It used to be $70,000.00 of course, So It could go down between now and November of this year, But I know It could go at anytime) that has It's own land under It and with the furniture that I have a studio or a one bedroom if It existed would mean a crowed city and be expensive too, Plus I'd be as cramped as I am now(maybe more so depending on the size that is). I'll have to call on Monday as City Hall is closed now. I'd be better off either in another city(Adelanto) or just staying put and I'd rather not stay put as then I'm at the mercy of the park closing(so far It isn't, Right now there are 43 occupied mobile homes here out of 60 and 14 of them are Residents like Me(or nearly like Me).
