What happened to the first SETI signal?

	I found a rather old documentary talking about the first signal ever catched by the SETI program, wich has a story very similar to what seen in the movie "CONTACT". This signal was found coming from gliese 1116 in 1997 by signal technician Don Merrick, later on it was decodified and it was found out it was a sort of a technical drawing of a complex machine, the drawing was aired on TV on May 25th, 1999. I've seen on this documentary the names of the people working on the project: Ben Klatsky, Jane Lascelles and others like Rosemary Gallo from NASA. What I find rather odd is that i can't find ANY information about this fact on the internet or about the people involved, nothing at all. All I've got is just that tv documentary. Anyone from SETI can give further information about this? ____________

	Keep in mind that there are many SETI projects that are not all interconnected. For example, SETI@Home (this project) is separate from the SETI Institute (which Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen regularly donates to). This may complicate the search for your answer, but I don't think anybody at this project has discovered a signal as of yet (we wouldn't really know as we're still in the data collecting phase). ____________

	No it wasn't the WOW signal... I suppose that documentary is a pure fake, however it's a Discovery Channel production. ____________

	There was one memorable signal received in 1997. But if memory serves, that signal came from Vega via Hollywood, not gliese.

	This doesn't directly pertain to the question at hand, and it received little attention or press in the US at the time. In 1977 an unknown entity took over control of 5 Independent Broadcasting Authority transmitters in England for 5+ minutes.
