The first one got locked (allegedly at the request of the OP), the second one got hidden by a mod.

If you look in some peoples posting history, the posts are still visible although the thread is not.

I miss Simon too, one of the mysteries of the internet.

His last post here seems to have been 12 Aug 2007.
On the Lunatics boards, he was around for a few more days or weeks.

Someone must know the answer! (The truth is out there!)

There is no trilateral commission, it isn't some great conspiracy, there were no black helicopters.

He didn't just disappear, he sent a quick "goodbye" and while it's all mysterious, trying to track him down against his wishes is a little creepy.

... and calling attention to his absence does not help if he simply wishes to be left alone.

Well then, we're all stalking ET (and rather badly at it, so it seems).

Perhaps to put this "Where's Waldo" to closure, at minimum, the trail no longer ends with the last S@H postings of 2007. Simon had moved and was fine as of January 2009 (and that's all I'll offer on that to anyone), and in all likelyhood is doing quiet well today.

Fine then, continue with your eulogy and tribute. I shared with all a correct answer that the guy is fine (at least as of 2009), and somehow that amplified your anxiety about it, and so I apologize to all for that orthogonal outcome.

I again emphasize I'm not going to provide anyone the puzzle pieces either publicly or in PM to achieve what I did (and honestly, it wasn't much, I simply began with no assumptions). That right of privacy belongs to that individual.

Suppose it's time I spoke up...I know what has happened to Simon--least I knew at the time period of several months back.

We were told when I was a mod exactly what was up with Simon (you were not a mod at the time Sattler). We were also told explicitly not to say on the forums what the situation was.

Pappa was the person who said we were not to post the reason on the forums.

Let's please stop speculation and respect Simon's privacy. If he wants to return he shall.

Are you sure about that? Pappa chastised me publicly just before I put the puzzle together (for which Sattler said was impossible for me to do anyhow as 8 years makes me a relative newbie, not that participation time has ever mapped to capabilities).

Thank You Blurf for shedding a little light on the mystery. At least we know that Simon is alive.

Having been involved in a previous hunt into someones past, I appreciate that we don't have a right to know about some things, however much we would like to know.

I suppose it is because many of us are trying to solve one of the biggest questions that humanity has, we are all very inquisitive people.

Searching the Lunatics Developer threads, I do not find the exact conversation which lead to something that Blurf states, I then posted into the Seti Moderators list. I do recall I offered to pay the hosting fees (Lunatics) for the next year, while things were sorted out. KWSN came to the rescue. I will say it was something that was decided on jointly to respect what Simon decided to do. Life Happens. Simon was so involved in Lunatics, it could mean that his family was starting suffer(no, I do not have the answer). Family First! YOU have to decide, Seti or Family...

While I miss a missing friend, and would like to know he is safe. "We" should respect his right to privacy, as you would like to have your personal life private.

So maybe it is time for Google to catalog this and then fade into history once again.
