I successfuly downloaded and installed boinc but can not start. Every time the screen saver starts I see "no running task, computer in use".
Which can be the problem?

Edit them
Change "Suspend work while computer is in use?" from Yes to No.
Alternatively do the same for the GPU option. (Although there is no application available yet for ATI cards. That's coming one of these weeks.)
Save changes.

Open BOINC Manager.
Advanced view.
Projects tab.
Select Seti@Home.
Click Update.

This is a settings problem. The default is not to use the CPU while the user is active because it causes problems in a very few cases. You have 3 options.

1) In the advanced view on your client on the activity menu, select run always.
2) In the advanced view on your client on the advanced menu, select preferences. Select the processor usage tab. Check the "while computer is in use" checkbox.
3) If you are controlling more than one computer, go to your account on this web site. Select computing preferences. Change "Suspend work while computer is in use?" to NO.
