Yep, it sucks unless you look at one of my units it looks as though I have 2 275's I even put the 260 in the top slot but it still says 2 275's... Official Abuser of Boinc Buttons... And no good credit hound! |

Yep, it sucks unless you look at one of my units it looks as though I have 2 275's I even put the 260 in the top slot but it still says 2 275's... Ahhh...a 275 and a 260 in the same rig... [2] GTX275 ..so it's really not showing your 260 at all.....but I think this is a known problem with multiple cards not being shown correctly by Boinc. Not sure if the root cause is Boinc, the drivers, or the OS...but it has been reported before. As long as Boinc recognizes them and is crunching on all available GPU's, it's not really a problem. I only have one Cuda per cruncher, so I have not dealt with the issue. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

It's a cosmetic problem on the website. BOINC knows about the two different cards (see the startup messages), but the servers and back-end can't handle the complexity. |

Mark a GTX275 only has 1 GPU. Already edited....LOL. So he's got 3 cards in the rig. My bad...thought about it after I hit the button. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Thats the same as my 2 rigs. 1xGTX295 and 1xGTX275 in each rig. Boinc sees both rigs as having 3xGTX275's. Dave |

Well when the outage starts I am going to strip the rigs and go Dust Bunny hunting. Only 30 mins to go , but they will shut down servers before that I suspect. Dave |

Mark a GTX275 only has 1 GPU. a 260 and a 275, Sounds like one 260 got promoted to a 275 in Boinc, Yep sounds cosmetic, Should work fine otherwise I'd think. The T1 Trust, PRR T1 Class 4-4-4-4 #5550, 1 of America's First HST's |

Mark a GTX275 only has 1 GPU. But I was hoping it would see 2 260's as that would look better. Actually if it had worked I would have my 9600GSO in slot 0....3 9600's with a high RAC would have looked cool since none of it matters. Official Abuser of Boinc Buttons... And no good credit hound! |

My i7 is just short of 6 million credits in 9 months and there has to be an outage. LOL Dave |

Well, I think I have my CPU overclock stable! I had a few BSOD's with other profiles, so I raised the vcore a bit. But this one is great... I'm running an OC profile of (180x21=3780MHz - vcore 1.2250). It's 7 hours 30 minutes Prime95 stable, and 1 hour OCCT LINPACK stable. Now... perhaps I have a bit of time of a GPU OC... @Mark... did you get your i7 920 brickwall solved? - Luke. |

Well, I think I have my CPU overclock stable! Not much time to play with it now that I'm back to work this week....I'll have to punt around with it some this weekend. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

Now I'm really getting into the crunching... My C2D E8400 runs about 2500 for it's RAC. You are only starting to ram up! heh SETI@home classic workunits: 93,865 CPU time: 863,447 hours Join the [url=http://tinyurl.com/8y46zvu]BP6/VP6 User Group[ |

@ Luke I have noticed that you are running the latest nVidia drive for the 260. From other posts and from my own usage of the driver over the last weekend. The concencius is that the driver is slower than the 191.07 driver for Cuda. I had a GPU giving computation errors,so I thought I would try the latest driver. It works ok but is about 2 or 3 mins slower on average. I had a wager on your RAC at the end of the month being 16k on you new rig,but I would rather help you get a better cruncher. Dave |

@ Luke I have noticed that you are running the latest nVidia drive for the 260. WTF!!! I uninstall my current driver... and my screen goes to 1 monitor an to 800x600. And I can't reinstall my driver! WTF! I get an error saying nVidia did not find any compatible hardware trying to install the 191.07, and I try and install my driver from my EVGA CD and I get told it can only be used for WinXp & Vista! WTF do I do now? I'm stuck with 1 monitor only and 800x600 resolution! EDIT: Solved. Anyone got a good metaphor for showing drivers in a negative fashion? LOL. - Luke. |
