What does this mean? It means we're out of coke, and we're out of pepsi. ... and have been for a few days. But don't worry, for I SPY a splitter ;-) Name=01ap07aa. I'm guessing after the Tuesday maintenance, Matt will bring a couple more disks online and we'll have a little easier time of getting new work until more deliveries of alfa arrive. |

i switched my other computer's gpu to ati and i'm crunching collatz... Here you go: Collatz : Collatz Conjecture is a research project that uses Internet-connected computers to do research in mathematics, specifically testing the Collatz Conjecture also known as 3x+1 or HOTPO (half or triple plus one). You can participate by downloading and running a free program on your computer. On another note: I still have 3 SETI@home tasks uncrunched because they have been given lower priority to PrimeGrid... I'll try get them done as soon as possible. - Luke. - Luke. |

Have you set "If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?" to "yes" in your SETI@home preferences? Gruß, Gundolf Computer sind nicht alles im Leben. Have you set "If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?" to "yes" in your SETI@home preferences? No, I haven't changed anything except wu cache from 0.25 to 0.75 "If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?" ==> No BTW...I just received 4 wu from 01ap07aa =) *yipppie* N = R x fp x ne x fl x fi x fc x L |

"If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?" ==> No That explains the "Message from server" you got. And the reason why you didn't see it earlier is probably that for the first time the server had a task of a type you didn't allow (Astropulse v505). Gruß, Gundolf |

Here my selected applications : SETI@home Enhanced: yes Astropulse: yes Astropulse v5: yes ===> is this one same with v505? if not, should I change 'No' to 'Yes' ? I have all of the applications boxes ticked that way you are sure to get work if it's there. |

Astropulse v5: yes ===> is this one same with v505? Astropulse v5 and v505 are two different applications! The only way to get v505 is to set "If no work for selected applications is available, accept work from other applications?" to "yes". Gruß, Gundolf |

I think I'm good for another +1 day of remaining cache now.. 2009-11-03 08:35:00|SETI@home|Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. Requesting 830137 seconds of work, reporting 0 completed tasks All are full-sized 01ap07 tasks (non-shorty). That was immediately followed by: 2009-11-03 08:35:21|SETI@home|Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. Requesting 317379 seconds of work, reporting 0 completed tasks And haven't gotten anything since. By the way, I'm UTC-5. Astropulse v5: yes ===> is this one same with v505? Read what the line above in Bold says, ie: You will ONLY get work from other applications if there is NO work available from your Selected applications, Since there is almost always Setiathome work available you will likely only ever get that, (unless there is no setiathome enhanced work, but Astropulse_v505 work is quite rare, and any on the server is likely to vanish quickly) to get Astropulse_v505 work you must Only ask for work that isn't available, ie only ask for Astropulse and Astropulse_v5 work, and Not Setiathome enhanced work, Don't worry you'll still get Setiahome enhanced work, as this will come as part of the work from other applications, and you'll get an odd Astropulse_v505 Wu every now and again. Holy Bat poop, I finally got 1 Astropulse WU. Hope my system gets to it before I have to leave town next week. I will be away for about 6 weeks in Europe and will shut down my system for the duration. Cheers Pilot When we finally figure it all out, all the rules will change and we can start all over again. |
