Clearly NOT the inspiration for the Beach Boy's Surf City song.

That's ten suggestions. I'm going to have to work out what Angela is getting at (it could be either very clever or very crazy or both and I can't tell which yet) before judging, so you have some time for last-minute entries.

This is another round which is terribly difficult to judge. Thanks for the entries.

Third place goes to skildude for:
3 Muskateers ...Threesome... close enough

This addressed two aspects of the picture in just four words.

Second place goes to Balveda:
Oh, 80's night, oops! thought you mean't 1680's.

We were using my costume while reconstructing Playford dances, from the second half of the seventeenth century, so the date is spot on.

First place goes to John McLeod VII:
The Society for Creative Anachronism declares the 20th century to be far enough in the past to be allowed for personas.

Funny and grounded in reality - they may well do so at some stage: "authentic" performances of Beethoven are already a challenge and we are beginning to pay attention to "authentic" latin american dance style: the BBC recently reported an Argentine archaeological dig on the site of an early tango café.

I had to listen to the song before I understood what Angela was getting at. Clever. The best response to this and some other entries may be another Beachboys song.

So thanks again to everyone and over to you John!

Wow! There was an accident earlier this year near here on Highway 85 with a dump truck's dump bin being accidentally raised while the truck was going down the highway and hitting a sign. I saw the mangled sign, and then looked it up on the San Jose Mercury News web site to find out what had happened. I thought that it was quite an unusual accident. I guess it wasn't so unusual after all.

OK, my caption follows...

Boss? Well, there is good news and bad news.

The good news is we didn't lose the load because I had already unloaded it.

The bad news is that we gained a Yugo.

The Giant of Jack and the Bean Stalk fame used these crayons to color everything, including the golden harp which was found to be yellow crayon over pot metal.
