I am running AP on Linux 64bit and they always seem to have Computation errors at random points. Most recently my cpu had spent 40 hours crunching on one and was more than 95% complete when the error occurred. Is anyone else having similar problems?

You seemingly are not alone, see here.

For an explanation of the error, see this message. (I did a forum search for SIGSEGV.)

Maybe there is a second problem with AP-WUs.
Seams that Matt has done too good with his radar clearing scripts?
Just get one of the rare AP 5.05 WUs - finished in under 4 sec. - uploaded it and get credits at once (0.01 of course) because of wingman also finished in under 3 sec. with same result. An error message appears in the task description:
Error in ap_remove_radar.cpp: generate_envelope: num_ffts_performed < 100. Blanking too much RFI?

Hmm, ap_23jl09aa_B3_P1_00007_20090823_28160.wu.

It may be the problem discussed in Astropulse Beam 3 Polarity 1 Errors has returned, worth watching.

For someone who knows and want to do some research, it was the WU http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=495685869.

Edit: Uuupps - the WU disapeared just from my valid task list ???
Name of the WU was ap_16ja08af_B0_P0_00163_20090821_05880.wu

That is no error, only a warning. If it doesn't occur too often, just ignore it. I get this message up to twice a day, since my system clock is updated automatically just as often. One reason for this "error" to occur is when you adjust the system time in the wrong direction for more than 30 seconds.

Gruß,
Gundolf

I don't know if the problem extended into July, but they've found another tape from the original batch to split for Astropulse: ap_07mr08ab_B3_P1_00058_20090901_24888.wu
