With Windows Vista and above you should NOT install BOINC as a service (protected application execution) or else BOINC is unable to load the drivers that show it the CUDA card. So you have to uninstall BOINC, reinstall it and on the 3rd screen click Advanced and untick the protected application execution option. You may also want to read the message there then that warns you about this effect. |

HI all, Now that the the upload server is taking my backlog, I am trying to find out why there is no CUDA work being given to me? My message board shows that my CUDA device is present, and I have checked the box under preferences to get GPU work. Any insight? 7/15/2009 11:57:16 PM Processor: 2 AuthenticAMD AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 5600+ [x86 Family 15 Model 107 Stepping 2] 7/15/2009 11:57:16 PM Processor features: fpu tsc pae nx sse sse2 3dnow mmx 7/15/2009 11:57:16 PM OS: Microsoft Windows XP: Professional x86 Edition, Service Pack 3, (05.01.2600.00) 7/15/2009 11:57:16 PM Memory: 3.00 GB physical, 5.84 GB virtual 7/15/2009 11:57:16 PM Disk: 465.76 GB total, 452.26 GB free 7/15/2009 11:57:16 PM Local time is UTC -4 hours 7/15/2009 11:57:16 PM CUDA device: GeForce 9400 GT (driver version 18618, compute capability 1.1, 1024MB, est. 8GFLOPS) 7/15/2009 11:57:16 PM SETI@home Found app_info.xml; using anonymous platform 7/15/2009 11:57:16 PM Not using a proxy |
