<------- Where is my flag? Please don't get the UN involved....... Then every sig would have to display every flag, and we would all have to nuke each other when N K gets pissed off. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |

I would like to see also the international (UN) flag here at the left. In the sig pics from the stats sides the UN flag is also displayed. Look in my sig.. ;-) |

It could take a while for some flags to make it onto the boards. I just did a "Friends Search" for North Korea... zero results... I wonder why... I did find one from the Holy See (Vatican). |

I did find one from the Holy See (Vatican). What flag is that? Not a burning cross, surely... Or is it a very bloodshot eye? Hope he's not hoping that a god will ping Arecibo! :-o Keep searchin', Martin See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

I did find one from the Holy See (Vatican). My goodness! Are we a little hostile? I was just using the Holy See as an example of a small population with low likelyhood of being involved in BOINC. I was not making any religious or political statement. |

I did find one from the Holy See (Vatican). Not at all, hence the ":-o"... ... A little irreverent perhaps :-p Now... Is there anyone from the Arctic or Antarctic? What flags for them? (Snow, ice, and penguins?) (And why no penguins in the Arctic? Anyone heard of Linux up there??) North Korea.. hmm.. maybe.. ;-) In the 'user search' I didn't found North Korea. In my account I can't select North Korea. It's not allowed to have an ISP there? Maybe then the people would know what is really behind the 'wall'? Or maybe they are only incognito here around maybe as international? [ EDIT: ..also it's possible to select 'none' country. ] BTW. The UN flag will be available soon for the international user? |

OK, but you understand that there is no way on the web to hear tone of voice or a laugh, or see a grin, in order to let people know that you are Just Kidding. You did use ":-O", but this is a rather ambiguous "smilie", thus transmitting no clear intent unless context makes it clear, but here the context was too short and, as it turns out, rather one dimensional in its point of view ("down with the Vatican"). Finally, you should know that many believers in "One True God", whatever Name you might call Him, would see "a god" as a denial of their faith. I personally do not expect that God will "ping Arecibo". Not that he couldn't, but that he would not. After all, one could say that He is pinging each and every one of us, personally, every time we look up on a clear night. :-D Many times people will say "Just Kidding" or "JK" at the end of such a message in order to put others at ease. |

In the 'user search' I didn't found North Korea. Look in the pick list under "K" for both Korea, North and Korea, South. |

@ Steven Meyer Hmm.. after reading the redirected page about NK.. If I would live in NK, I wouldn't show this here. OTOH, if only special persons in NK can use the Inet they wouldn't have interest to support BOINC projects.. they think different as we around here.. ;-) |
