Message 905996 - Posted: 10 Jun 2009, 23:31:11 UTC - in response to Message 905994.

Hei Shannock and TimeLord ;-)

Its time for my win.
Thank you.

Good evening Moon. [I wasn't ignoring you, just letting you have the win for a bit.]

hehe.. that was good of you ;-)
..and I didn't feel much ignored either ;-D
Hello to Gary and Richard too.

Same here Moon, Of course I was also mailing a pkg, getting a prescription filled, Buying some ice cream, getting 5 gallons of gas(half a tank) for $2.839 a gallon and coming home, then I added $5.20 to the checking account and $20.00 to the savings so that in 3 to 4 business days I will have $181.66 for this month.

Hmm.. Ive also done several different things today,
but I never came to the point to put IN anything on the
accounts. ;p shame on me.

It's ok Moon. Oh and the ice cream? Thrifty's strawberries and cream 2 for $5.00 and no tax.

Thrifty's is great. Too bad the stores don't exist any more.

Try Your local RiteAid Pharmacy, That's where Thrifty's ice cream is sold at now.

Still loving my new Civic Hybrid.

WIN!!!

Good for You TL4, My Escort zx2 is paid for and the DMV last Year was $96.00 total.

So is my '92 Olds Cutlass...LOL.

I've seen your Cutlass...

You leave the keys in it, right??

<snicker> <LOL> <J/K>

Does it really matter? My younger brother had a Cutlass and you just twisted the "wings" that went alongside the slot for the key and you could start the car. Even with no key inserted at all... :-D

In which case I have a real advantage as I learned to type on My own, Maybe not real fast or in the conventional way, But for a PC and forums It's ok.

I passed my "Touch-typing" class in high-school by hunt-and-pecking 35 WPM with no errors.

Sadly, as I've grown older, the error rate has become horrid. :-)

I started typing before computers. Took typing in college and was up to 120 wpm. Now my best speed is probably in the 50-60 range.

That's part of the reason I couldn't learn to touch-type too readily. When I started, I was actively working on:

Teletypewriter in computer class
Selectrix typewriter in typing class
Apple ][ in computer class
Atari 800 at home

And each of those had keyboards with characters in different locations.

Don't I know It, I started with an Atari 400, Although before that I took classes in Computers, So My computer usage has been as follows:

Tandy Model III Computer(1st of My Computer classes)
Apple II(2nd of My Computer classes)
Atari 400(My 1st Computer) Modified with 64K ram and a better keyboard(1980)
Atari 800XL, 600XL, 1200XL(I have a 1200XL today) and a 1400XL in a 1200XL case(I've owned a few)
Atari 520ST, 1040STFM, Mega2, Mega4
Amiga 1000, 3000, 4000(3000 and 4000 had a 486sx card in them and a MAC card w/ real Mac roms)
Various homebuilt PCs AMD/Intel(1992-present)

So I've owned and used a few computers too.

I still need to get a new motherboard, psu brick(for the Indus GT as the 1200XL uses the same psu brick) and a chip from Best Electronics for My 1200XL(to fix a joystick problem), I even have an Indus GT floppy disk drive(no luck on the Rana 1000 cousin of course).
