I have 2 GTX285's in SLI, but only 1 WU of S@H is being done. Should not both GPU's be used or able to process a WU each.? Drivers are 182.50 and using 6.6.20 Vista64 with i7 920 OC'd moderately to 3.11ghz and HT turned off. |

If you want to run two CUDA tasks at the same time you'd have to turn SLI off, otherwise the GPU's appear as one GPU in Boinc (so only one CUDA task gets done), though only one GPU gets used. |

Thank you for the prompt reply. I shall turn off the SLI and reboot. I will post results. |

Did not work out. Turned off SLI and rebooted. Still only shows 1 Cuda wu and 4 Cpu wu's being processed, and in the startup messages, only 1 GPU being recognized. |

It's my understanding from when I used my CUDA card, that the physical bridge between the two cards also had to be disabled, though I must admit, I'm not sure this is still the case. There's also info in this thread that may apply, that suggested for a 64 bit system, using an older version of Boinc fixed the problem as well as an entry for a cc_config.xml file as another possible fix. |

Checked out that other thread. Went to Program data > Boinc and can't find cc_config.xml Checked out all the xml files listed there and nothing looks like it applies. Where might it be hiding ? Perhaps it's only in the older version. I also looked thru Program Files BOINC folder (it shows in 2 places on my drive) and nothing in there has an .xml file. I will pull the bridge strap and see if that changes anything. (tomorrow I will do that !) |

Checked out that other thread. Went to Program data > Boinc and can't find cc_config.xml For your OS, that's where it would be if one was there. If you plan on trying the cc config file suggestion in that thread, you'll have to make one. cc_config.xml If you'd prefer trying an older Boinc version, or if the other suggestions don't work, you can find one HERE |

Problem solved...... but I wish I knew how ! I powered down the PC to change the monitor from a CRT to LCD. Connected the LCD, powered up the PC, and booted up. Set the display resolution, and went into Boinc. Called up the S@H Tasks and lo & behold there are 6 WU"s running, 2 of which are Cuda. SLI is turned off, but the strap is still in place. Maybe settings remain until the unit power is totally off. Anyway problem seems to be solved now. Thanks for the assistance and replies. |

You have to have a load on both video cards, either by connecting a second monitor or by using a dummy plug, and then extending the destop to the second "display" in display settings on your desktop. You can leave your SLI bridge in place and simply toggle back and forth between SLI/non-SLI in the Nvidia Control Panel. |

Yeah you need SLI Disabled, and either a dummy plug on the video card that doesn't have a monitor plugged into it, or another monitor. cheers and happy crunching. |
