I am hoping to get a new computer a quad either a 6600 or a 8200 version with a cuda. What I am asking is how do I set this up so that I can run the optimised version. I am already using one without a cuda so do I need to run the machine to do a few withou an optimised version to get the flops or can I use my optimised version and just let that run and then add the cuda version later.

One of the first few messages when you start boinc manager will show... Found CUDA device est ##GFLOPS.Whatever that number is is what you use to compute the flops for your op-app. Don't forget this is in gigaflops so be sure to add all the zeros to it.
