What do you think about a race for the 10th anniversary.
All teams should be allowed.
The team with the most credits wins.

We need a guy for the stats then.
Should be fun.
Start should be may 1.
Lets say for two weeks
Ideas?

I think the idea of a race would be great.

I'd be willing to auction my meager farm for use in the race.

Sure it only counts for what team you are crunching when the race starts.

I think you are talking about a Gauntlet.. I have been playing with the idea to supply the stats, but "my" stats don't contain any grafics yet, and I'm still bussy getting all the tweaks into "the engine".. I'm sorry to say that an "10th anniversary seti race" is a bit early for me..

It has been attempted to get a "Gauntlet 2008 up and running.. but it doesn't seem to have succeeded.. maybee for a 10th anniversary it'll be possible?

@ Mike

Nice idea.. - but.. :-(

For example..

SETI@home Gauntlet 2008

The Germans are taking over!

If we don't find a team or a person which would like/can make the stats.. no chance.. :-(

In past and now..

1st - who make the stats?
2nd - ..then we could continue to think about.. ;-)

If we can't positive 'tick off' # 1 - no chance for 2nd step.. :-(

Yes.. but in past we didn't found a person..

I guess now also not..

So it will be only a well idea - like in past the other ideas..

I can't do the stats..
And the people which could do it - are lazy..? ;-)

:D thanx (I started working on it 4 months ago, and I'm almost getting to my "cool ideas" ;)

In the thread I mentioned 'Elteor' was willing.. but somehow it didn't follow though.. maybe the "10th anniversary thing" will be motivating enough? ;) 'John37309' got in touch with him/her, retry?

Well, I don't care much for races, but well, I can also feel the "soon" 10y anniversary spirit coming on ...

... *doh* who thought I'd be "hanging tough" for this long ...
... and for not much pay out I must say ...

have anybody even hear anything new that have been going on or do we just waste our time for nothing still ?

Just means you two migrated your classic account over to BOINC at nearly the same time. I didn't migrate until Classic stopped sending WUs, and my ID is under 100,000. I found that to be interesting.

Interesting question i got.

So far it is a go for SETI.USA. One question that I need an answer to.
The race stats.

They are asking if the race is for TOTAL production or INCREASED production ??

Let me know and give me a link to where the stats are going to be kept and I will pass it along.

This should be fun.

I think total credit is the best.
Maybe i have a guy who will do the stats, i just wait til he confirmed.
