I have 3 tasks in my task list in an "In Progress" state on the website that are no longer on my local computer. Not sure how they ended up that way...perhaps I did a "Reset Project" over the weekend during the upload/download outage.

Now I know I can wait until the deadline (3 weeks from now), but 1 of them is already awaiting credit from my wingman. Is there any way to release these tasks or abort them so that my wingmen don't have to wait so long?

No, they'll have to wait until the deadline has passed and the task is resent to another computer.

We call these "ghost tasks". They happen when your computer asks for work, the Seti scheduler acknowledges that, asks the database to appoint you work and then due to a problem in communications this work never reaches you. Like with the communication problems this weekend. It is nothing to worry about, it happens to all of us at times.

Ok, I was just trying to be considerate to my fellow BOINCers. :)
