What is going on with all the version changes??

I was running 4.05 - and Bonic said that I didn't have the current version and would not give me work units because of this, so I looked at the most current version was 4.09. So I download and install 4.09.

--- - 2004-10-05 10:15:54 - Starting BOINC client version 4.09 for windows_intelx86
--- - 2004-10-05 10:15:54 - Version Change Detected (4.05 -> 4.09); running CPU benchmarks

Now I see in the message section that Bonic downloaded 4.05 and installed 4.05 on its own.

SETI@home - 2004-10-05 10:27:19 - Started download of setiathome_4.05_windows_intelx86.exe
SETI@home - 2004-10-05 10:27:19 - Started download of setiathome_4.05_windows_intelx86.pdb
SETI@home - 2004-10-05 10:27:19 - Started download of setiathome_4.05_windows_intelx86.pdb

Why did it tell me that it wasn't going to give me work because I didn't have the newest version, only to have me install it and then it change it back to the version I had in which it said wasn't current??? (department of redundancy department)

Please try and be a bit more considerate to us and update the "News" section a bit more often so we have a clue as to what is going on. Those who have been helping to support your project from the beginning would greatly appreciate it.

One is apples the other is oranges, apples = BOINC Core Client = 4.09, oranges = Seti@h Application = 4.05, 2, count them 2 different programs and if you hook up to other projects, they will have a different APPLICATION Number........and possibily a different BOINC CC. As it stands all live projects will work with 4.09.......Read this over there will be a test later lolololol......

My name is Pascal and this message has no meaning, but still has my approval...
