I gotta try some big band artists....

Dear Pandora Visitor,

We are deeply, deeply sorry to say that due to licensing constraints, we can no longer allow access to Pandora for listeners located outside of the U.S. We will continue to work diligently to realize the vision of a truly global Pandora, but for the time being we are required to restrict its use. We are very sad to have to do this, but there is no other alternative.

We believe that you are in New Zealand (your IP address appears to be xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) If you believe we have made a mistake, we apologize and ask that you please contact us at pandora-support@pandora.com

If you are a paid subscriber, please contact us at pandora-support@pandora.com and we will issue a pro-rated refund to the credit card you used to sign up. If you have been using Pandora, we will keep a record of your existing stations and bookmarked artists and songs, so that when we are able to launch in your country, they will be waiting for you.

We will be notifying listeners as licensing agreements are established in individual countries. If you would like to be notified by email when Pandora is available in your country, please enter your email address below. The pace of global licensing is hard to predict, but we have the ultimate goal of being able to offer our service everywhere.

We share your disappointment and greatly appreciate your understanding.

Sincerely,
Tim Westergen

Founder.

We apologize... but your still ****'n screwed...
Internet censorship is running around...

Oh Well Mark, Looks like a good website anyway...
- Luke.

I invite you to try this out folks.....
Since last night when I plugged in 'Les Paul and Mary Ford'....it's been serving up a constant stream of 50's and 60's....and not just the common songs..lots of stuff I had long ago forgotten about.....

What led me to it was an interview I heard on the car radio from Wisconsin Public Radio about Pandora, the Music Genome Project, and how they use feedback from millions of listeners (I think they said they had cataloged 2 billion responses so far) to predict what you will like based upon a musical choice or two that you make.

So far, they got my number right!!!

I listen to "Live 365". For free I listen to:
1. Jodash 50s which contains a lot of fine songs from then and a few sixties also. Some of the songs were popular exclusively in Great Britain, since Jodash is a British station. There are a fair number of no-name songs in the collection, some of which appear to be "B" sides ("flipsides"). A lot of these no-name songs are rock-and-roll and R&B (rhythm and blues).
2. Jodash Golden Oldies which contains songs mostly from the 20s thru the 50s. I hear a fair number of songs from 1946-1948 there.
3. KCIX Forties which contains practically all forties, original, popular music.
I enjoy these stations very much while reading the paper, etc.
There were other stations of the 40s, 50s and 60s that had been free, but were transferred into vip (pay) status.
I'll look into Pandora, because it looks like what's been written in this thread indicates sweet memories.

I think you'll enjoy it....
It is free right now, you do have to reigister if you want to continue using it...
You can click on the song title and artist name for more info while the song is playing....

Not available outside the US. Sigh.

I wonder if Obama can fix that. . .?
