I would like to run different projects on different computers using the same account. Is this possible?

Yes, why not?

Just make sure that on all projects you register at, that you use the same email address to register with. (Not even necessary to use the same password, but if you find it convenient... then do so ;-)).

Then use host 1 with projects A, C, F and G and host 2 with projects B, D, E and H.

The only problem here may be that you get two Cross Project Identifiers (CPIDs), on your statistics sites. That can only be overcome by attaching both machines to all the projects you run. Note that it isn't necessary for both machines to also run all those projects. For example, my two hosts are attached to 36 projects at the moment, but they both only run 6.

A small clarification to Ageless' Post. The CPID will propogate and unify with time as long as there is at least one active project in common between two computers on your accounts.
e.g.
computer 1 projects A, B, C
computer 2 projects A, D, E
computer 3 projects D, E, F
computer 4 projects C, G, H
etc.

Dead projects can be problematical.

Make certain that at least for a little while the project with the oldest join date is in common between the machines - this is just about the only way to avoid ping pong in the CPID.

I thought that problem had been fixed??

Dr Anderson does not believe so. I have not tested it.

After I set up the new computer all the projects propagated to that computer and the new project came on the original computer. So presumably I would just have Boinc not fetch new tasks of the appropriate project on each computer?
