...too late Super Joker, it has already been deposited into MY paypal account...

Can't blame a Guy from trying, Although I was serious about the money(not the holding stuff, wouldn't know how to do that If I tried) as seti and paypal use the same address in this case.

As donations of Money to Me via Paypal are quite welcome. :)

Good night Moon.
I am winning after work and shoveling our driveway and part of our back deck.

My turn to lose. It's just been one of those days.

Got downtown just fine for my occasional visit to the old DC.
Wife called me early afternoon saying the stove wouldn't work. The oven does as well as the timer/clock etc... Just none of the solid surface burners...
When it was time to go home, the car wouldn't start.
Wouldn't take with with the "Battery Booster" the Security dude had.
Brother-In-Law came over with jumper cables and it wouldn't work even then. Acts like the alternator is done, but the battery wouldn't take a charge either...
So he offers to drive me home, but his passenger side door wouldn't latch. So I had to hold it shut the entire drive.

Now I have a better feeling for why some people hate mondays. :-)

Sorry to hear about your day Mumps, compared to that My day was a breeze. All I had to do was drive all day on icy roads which is not surprising as the temp didn't get over 18°F all day.

That makes two of us. We'll see if the car gets broken in to overnight as the Coup de grâce...

Mumps, that sounds like the battery to me, not the alternator. Cold weather will reduce a battery's ability to hold a charge. If the battery was weak to begin with then the cold will kill it. My wife's died last week. I have the tools to check it. It was dead and would not hold a charge. So just went to Walmart and bought a new one with a 7 year warranty. Free no question replacement for the first 3 years. So I don't expect I will have to buy another one for that car ever again.

I have had to replace batteries a few times and the ones I prefer are either Sears Diehard or the Interstate. Either one of which I have had for over 7 years and never had a problem.

I had that problem happen to Me, But the local FORD Dealer would only jump and charge the battery(FORD itself said No New Battery and where I live is open to the cold air and so after a week I'd have a dead battery in the '06 Mustang GT, I still regret trading the car in and getting a '99 Escort zx2, I like the gas mileage in the zx2, Just not the stability in the wind or the lack), So I got rid of the car not thinking I'd be giving up the stability the car offered in crosswinds around here. It seems a lot of other people are having the same problem with the stock battery, I'd have to get a better aftermarket battery with a minimum of 590 CCA(Interstate Mega Tron Silver/Calcium or better) and a 200A Alternator to overcome the charging deficit of the stock alternator as plugging in the car to a charger is impossible here as I have no electrical outlet here where I park My car, Hopefully the place I live at next will be able to accommodate My gas dryer and have an electrical outlet nearby. Any Donations would help and would be appreciated of course.
