I just installed BOINC and started processing for SETI@home after several years. I rejoined my old Indiana University of PA team and would like to add the new units processed to the old ones, but I can't sign on to the old account because the old IUP email account no longer exits. Any suggestions? |

Follow the instructions on this page to add your old SETI Classic credits to your new account (no need to log into your old email, simply provide the email name). Note that the old SETI Classic credits will not be added into the new BOINC Cobblestone credit system, but will be a separate stat in your account. Due to the major differences in the way credit is granted, Classic credits are completely incompatible and thus everyone stars at zero with BOINC. |

Oh, these narrow streets of cobblestone... No credit for years of gruelling work? Naww... It's OK. Our reward is to be a part of something larger than the carbon-based bipod life on a mostly harmless planet. One of these days it'll be my little Mac laptop that makes The Contact and I'll be able to invite the superbly & magnificently wonderful Jodie Foster (one of the finest young actresses!) to a Friday afternoon sausage sizzle in the Arctic. Carl Sagan's excuse regretfully accepted. (I even play Lotto. Surely I'm more likely to find extra-terrestrial life than getting the jackpot?) Right. Trying to be serious. From little things big things grow, but in the three months of my new membership I have a total credit of 51,266. Is there a point for me to continue? The signatures here show credits in magnitudes of 10^9 or more. Gazillions of work units, by these people with warehouses full of superfast computers since the Deluge! Of course only lost causes are worth fighting for, but... |

the superbly & magnificently wonderful Jodie Foster (one of the finest young actresses!) Young? She's 46. ;-) Is there a point for me to continue? The signatures here show credits in magnitudes of 10^9 or more. You've always got more than me. Then again, I have credit on around 40 projects... probably where I went wrong. :-) |

Wow! My well overdue joining date has been updated! Should I now be even more embarrased for not having done more? Please, Sir, I want some more? Look, Mr. SETI: I joined as soon as we had a permanent ADSL-connection. Scout's honour! Later, for 3 years, we were here, there and everwhere. |
