Something else CPU intensive hogging the CPU when the benchmarks run.
It won't hurt the running of many of the projects much. You can always benchmark again through BOINC Manager->Advanced view->Advanced->Run CPU benchmarks, or wait for BOINC to do it by itself (in 5 days time).

Pilot error !!!!! I had set my Carbonite Backup to "Auto" this am and it ran at higher pri than seti.....Changed it to "midnight" and now Benchmarks run as before.
An old flight instructor maxim says: "Undo the last two things you did before the failure"
