Well........the kitties and I (mostly I) have to take our leave for the night..... Had some nice musical rompings here tonight......just have to lay one more thing on ya....... I am an old codger........over 51 years of age. So if I get into some musical dissertations or arguments or presentations with y'all.......sorry. But I am really not.....I am just trying to share some of what I have come to know with you all...... Some will appreciate it, many not. So be it. Parting thought....... My most prized albums are the two copies I have of Joan Baez's first album. Both mint. One in monaural, the other in stereo, on Vanguard records. For you pups who were not aware (and I am not making fun of you), there was a very short time (I mean months) in the early 60's when stereo phono cartridges first became available, that some of the albums were released in both pressings because the monaural cartridges could not handle the modulations of the stereo groove, and wore them out quickly......so they released the album in the old monaural groove width as well. And I have another cuople of stories about the early days of hifi if you wanna hear 'em...... "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |
