Universal Translator May Be Possible

What if an alien language were indirect in this way, say, ritualistically? Each language currently known is an indirect way of identifying an object (or- ritualistic). The "only" difference between translating "Alien Language"->English and 'Non-English Earth Language'->English is the "alien language" is 'more likely' to have a non-obvious set of root word/syllables. There are some people that can't figure out the 'vocabulary' of Latin, even after being informed that Spanish and certain Hispanic languages may be related... |
